The Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency is pleased to announce a free Boating Basics course being offered by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. The course will take place at the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency located at 260 Cedar Bluff Rd Centre, AL 35960.
The course will be from 8:00 AM – 4:00 P.M. Saturday, November, 23rd, 2024. For those who currently do not have a boating certification and vessel endorsement on your license, it is important to have this course before operating a vessel on our waterways.
This class is designed for ages 12 and up. Children under the age of 12 are not eligible to take the exam. Anyone under the age of 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult 18 years of age or older.
This class is being offered free of charge.
You will need to bring a notepad and something to write with.
Please make sure you have your driver’s license with you or your social security number if you don’t have a driver’s license. If you just need a refresher you can attend one of these courses as well.
This class is being presented by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and hosted by the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency.
