Vehicle Rear-Ends Chattooga County (Georgia) School Bus Thursday; No Injuries

Fortunately, no students were injured when a pickup truck rear-ended a School bus in downtown Summerville Thursday afternoon.  The accident happened on Commerce Street near the Summerville Post Office.   According to reports, the driver of that truck ran into the back of the bus, causing major damage to the pickup truck – but NO visible damage to the bus. 

The driver wasn’t hurt, and none of the twelve students or the bus driver was injured in the mishap.   Law enforcement then relocated the bus to the Summerville First Baptist Church parking lot and parents were informed about the accident.

The accident remains under investigation – by Georgia Law Enforcement Officials.
