California has become the first state to ban certain synthetic food dyes from public school cafeterias.

This legislation focuses on certain dyes used in popular snacks and cereals like Froot Loops , with concerns revolving around their connection to behavioral issues such as being very hyper, especially in kids with ADHD.

This new law, is going to take effect around the end of 2027, it is part of an effort to make sure children’s health is really looked into.

In 2023, their was a similar law that pinpointed other very harmful additives to food groups.
