A two-vehicle crash that took place at 3:01pm, Tuesday, September 24th, claimed the life of an Albertville man.

Calvin Davis, age 56, was fatally injured when the 2007 Kawasaki Vulcan 1600 motorcycle that he was operating, struck the 2020 Freightliner M2 tractor-trailer being driven by Angela Kelley, 48 of Altoona.   Davis was thrown from the motorcycle – and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 75 near Dogwood Drive – within the Ider city limits, in DeKalb County.

Nothing further is currently available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
