Rome, Georgia Police Investigating Two Shooting Incidents

Rome, Georgia Police are investigating two shooting incidents that took place in South Rome this week.

According to incident reports officers responded to Floyd Medical Center in reference to a gunshot victim, possibly related to a “shots fired” call on Harper Avenue – on Wednesday.  However, the man that was shot in the calf and ankle, was uncooperative with the investigation.

Meanwhile, a vehicle on Nixon Avenue was struck by gunfire.  The report states that bullets traveled through the rear windshield – and the front passenger seat headrest and then out of the front windshield; it appeared a bullet had struck the front windshield of the Nissan Rogue – but did not penetrate it.

Both incidents remain under investigation.
