In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

MATTHEW GIBSON, age 34 of Gadsden, was arrested by Centre Police, on charges of Failure to Appear/Driving Without a License;

LARRY CRANE age 43 of Leesburg – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

REBECCA WALLACE age 27 from Sylvania – was arrested by Centre Police on charges of Failure to Appear;

DYRISHA MCKNIGHT, 33 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – and Attempting to Elude;

EDWARD SEXTON, age 31 of Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on a Bond Revocation/Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance;

TROY VINES age 45 from Resaca, Georgia – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with Obstructing Justice/False ID;

CHARLES SNEAD, age 45 from Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order  

And

DONALD ANDERSON, age 23 of Wilmington, North Carolina, was arrested by Leesburg Police on charges of Stalking 2nd Degree and the Possession of a Short Barrel Rifle.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 113 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
