CENTRE – Sand Rock dropped its first two volleyball matches of the season on Thursday in a tri-match with Donoho and Cherokee County. The Lady Wildcats lost to Donoho 14-25, 25-22 and 4-15, then fell to Cherokee County 18-25, 25-27.
For the day, Maddie Clanton collected 28 assists. Peyton Johnson contributed eight kills. Kailee Patterson collected seven kills and 11 digs. Paisley Ford delivered seven kills. Molly Grace Lay posted 13 digs. Sophia Usher had 11 digs. Emma Sipsy managed nine digs. Caitlyn Lynch and Macey Pruitt finished with 5 kills apiece.
Sand Rock plays in a tournament at Coosa, Ga., on Saturday.
