Cherokee County Arrest Files for Tuesday, August 20th, 2024

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the past 24 hours:

STEPHANIE CLEMONES, 54 from Centre arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office charged with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and also Possession with the Intent to Distribute;,

WALKER BEARDEN – age 28 of Centre – arrested by The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on Fugitive From Justice charges and Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

PHILLIP MORGAN, age 45 of Cedar Bluff was arrested by Centre Police on two counts of Alias Writ of Arrest;

PATRICK WILLIAMS age 43 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by Centre Police and charged with Bail Jumping 2nd Degree;

DOUGLAS RITHMIRE age 59 of Cedar Bluff, arrested by Cedar Bluff Police and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

STEPHEN GORDY, age 43 of Woodland, Alabama – was arrested by Centre Police and charged with DUI/Driving Under the Influence;

TAYLOR OWENS, age 25 from Cedar Bluff – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with Chemical Endangerment of a Child, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, as well as the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

STANLEY JOHNSON, age 43 of Fyffe, was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, and also the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

JAMES BAILEY, age 79 of Centre – arrested by Leesburg Police on charges of Public Intoxication;

BECKY GRIFFIN age 51 from Attalla was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order;

And

MATTHEW BERNARD – 39 from Oneonta – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Court Order.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 105 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
