In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

THAIS GREEN, age 38 of Gadsden – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, on charges of Failure to Appear on previous counts of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – along with new counts of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts) and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

JASON FINLEY age 43 from Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on a Probation Revocation, and also the Failure to Appear on a prior charge of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance;

ADAM BLUMSTEIN, age 30 of Gadsden – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts), and also one count of the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

JESSE PROCTOR, age 36 of Centre – was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (two counts) – also, a count of the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

MARVIN CHAVES CANALES, age 41 from Centre, arrested by Centre Police and charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Rape 1st Degree;

MATTHEW MARTIN, age 32 of Dallas, Georgia – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and he was charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance (three counts) – and with one count each of the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

And

BRITTANY CAVIN, age 38 of Cedar Bluff, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with a Court Order.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 109 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
