A Chattooga County, Georgia man stole a string trimmer from an elderly woman and when confronted about theft, he brought it back.
But, he still went to jail.
According to a report from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office 59-year-old Bobby Lee Battles of a Chattooga Avenue address is accused of taking the weed whacker – BUT – when he was confronted by the victim’s family members, he brought the string trimmer back. Battles had reportedly been warned a number of times prior to that theft to stay away from the property.
He was arrested and charged with Criminal Trespass and also with Theft by Taking before being booked into the Chattooga County Jail, July 18th.
