Auto Accident Update in Chattooga County, Georgia

Georgia State Patrol Releases Additional Information/Monday’s Accident Near Tractor Supply In Summerville

The Georgia State Patrol has just released additional information – on an accident that happened on Monday on Highway 27 near Tractor Supply.

According to reports, a vehicle was traveling southbound on Highway 27, in the turn lane – meanwhile a second vehicle was traveling northbound on Highway 27 in the left lane.   The first vehicle failed to yield before crossing the highway, and it struck the other in the front; the second vehicle then left the eastern edge of the roadway and struck a concrete water department marker.   After striking the second vehicle the first vehicle then started to rotate in  a counterclockwise manner – and came to rest in the northbound lane of Highway 27. 

There were minor injuries reportedly associated with that accident, and all of the occupants of both vehicles were treated by EMS. 

The wreck remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.
