One Dead, One in Custody Following North Alabama Shooting

A Marshall County man has been charged with Manslaughter, following a shooting early Saturday morning.   Colton Dozier, 31 of Albertville, was arrested Sunday night; according to jail records he is currently being held in the Marshall County Jail on bond of $50,000.

According to Albertville Police they were called to a residence located on Oneonta Cutoff Road early Saturday morning on a shooting.  Daniel Long was found suffering an apparent gunshot wound to the chest.

Two females and children were also found at the residence.   Dozier met Police at the scene – and after a brief conversation, was taken into custody.   Long was transported to Marshall Medical Center South – where he later died from his injuries.
