Cherokee County Arrest Files for Friday, May 17th, 2024

In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

SHERRY WALKER, age 61 of Centre, was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Harassment;

ERIC BRAY, age 49 of Piedmont – arrested by Centre Police, charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Surface and the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and charged with Failure to Appear on charges of Expired Tag and Failure to Display Insurance;

MARION GRAVELY, age 49 of Cedar Bluff, was arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department – and was charged with a Violation of the SORNA (Sex Offender and Registered Notification Act) Act;

DERRICK THRIFT, age 48 of Gaylesville, arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia,

The Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, also, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Criminal Littering;

KALEB JOHNSON, age 22 from Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, and charged with the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

BREANNA OGLESBY, age 24 of Centre – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree, with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree – and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

EDWARD FRIER, age 43 from Gadsden – arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of Non-Support;

JEFFREY SPRADLING, age 47 of Cedar Bluff – was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police and charged with Public Intoxication;

APRIL HANCOCK, age 41 from Leesburg arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office – charged with two counts of the Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

JAMES LASTINGER, age 64 from Gaylesville – arrested by the Cedar Bluff Police Department – and charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and with Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia;

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 104 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
