U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03), today announced his support for several pieces of pro-law enforcement legislation in the 118th Congress in recognition of National Police Week. Rep. Rogers has been an ally of law enforcement throughout his time in Congress and routinely collaborates with Alabama’s local law enforcement officials.
“In honor of National Police Week, I am proud to announce my support for several pieces of pro-police legislation,” said Rep. Rogers. “I am especially thankful for Alabama’s leaders in the law enforcement community who continue to be a tremendous resource for my office and me. Police officers face an extraordinary set of challenges every single day, along with demonization and threats to defund their departments from the far left. This week, we honor their tireless efforts to keep our communities safe.”
“I am appreciative for the dedication and commitment the brave men and women of law enforcement exhibit on a daily basis to protect and serve our communities,” said Cherokee County Sheriff, Jeff Shaver. “They sacrifice so much to protect the innocent and vulnerable people of our society.”
“Police Week means honoring our fallen colleagues, celebrating our shared commitment to serve and protect, and reflecting on the challenges and triumphs of our profession,” said Oxford Chief of Police, Bill Partridge.
