A missing North Carolina teen was recently found at an Alabama motel – with a 33-year-old Nevada man.
Richard Michael Maybach is being held in the Calhoun Jail – on a Fugitive from Justice Warrant. Maybach is charged in Cabarrus County, North Carolina – with abduction of children, according to Alabama court documents. The 16-year-old girl was last seen on Wednesday, May 1st, leaving Hickory Ridge High School in Cabarrus County.
Oxford Police Chief Bill Partridge said the pair was found at about 11:00 Friday morning at the Roadway Inn motel; the teen has been returned to her family.
Maybach is awaiting extradition to North Carolina.
