At approximately 3:20pm Monday, three vehicles collided in the intersection of West Main Street and the Chesnut Bypass in Centre.
One person was entrapped in the wreckage and had to be extricated by Centre Fire and Cherokee Rescue Squad. At least one person was transported to the local hospital for treatment.
The Centre Police and Fire Departments along with officers from the Cherokee County Sheriffs Department and EMA responded.
