National Administrative Professionals Day was recently celebrated, and Cherokee County EMA Director Shawn Rogers recognized Shelly Baker, who currently serves as the Administrative Assistant/Operations Manager of the Cherokee County Communications District.
She served as 9-1-1 Dispatcher for 18 years prior to her present position – and she handles a multitude of tasks in that role from all of her work in Human Resources and Financial Responsibilities for the District, to 9-1-1 Addressing and Mapping, to Making Sure the “Every Day Operations” are smooth system wide.
Both her dedication and passion for the job is, greatly appreciated by her many co-workers, the public, and all of us here at WEIS Radio – each and every day.
