One person was hurt in a single-vehicle accident, occurring early Sunday evening in Etowah County.

According to the Alabama State Troopers Post in Jacksonville, that wreck occurred at 8:24pm, on the Appalachian Road, and the driver of the 1989 Ford – a male resident of Piedmont – was transported to an area hospital afterwards for treatment.

No additional information has yet been released.

On Sunday, the troopers post responded to that accident, in addition to a number of others – two more in Etowah County, three in DeKalb County – and one in Cherokee County – all fortunately, with no injuries.
