Runaway Juveniles from Florida Located in DeKalb County
DeKalb County Deputies and Investigators went to a home in the Kilpatrick Community where they found the juveniles.
Detectives from Lee County Florida notified the DeKalb County Sheriff’s office after they received information the juveniles were possibly at the address where they were found. The two runaway female juveniles were taken into custody and turned over to the Alabama Department of Human Resources to be returned to the Fort Myers, Florida authorities.
According to Sheriff Nick Welden, the operation was conducted on the Kilpatrick home Tuesday – with the arrest of Aura Sanchez-Lopez of Kilpatrick on two counts of Interfering with Custody
Evidence collected from the scene was turned over to the Lee County Florida Sheriff’s Office for analysis.
Sheriff Welden said this is an ongoing operation with more charges possible.
