The Powerball jackpot has reached $1.09 billion after no winner took home the big prize in Monday night’s drawing.
No ticket matched all six numbers drawn – – white balls 19, 24, 40, 42, 56 and red Powerball 23. The Power Play multiplier was 2X.
The $1.09 billion is now the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot and ninth-largest U.S. lottery jackpot in history, coming in behind the $1.128 billion Mega Millions jackpot won in New Jersey last Tuesday. The next drawing is planned for Wednesday night.
