Tornado Course Offered July 7th

The Etowah County Emergency Management Agency is hosting the Tornado Hazards: Science and Preparedness course July 7th at the Etowah County Courthouse, Room 205. This training is presented by the National Disaster Preparedness Training Center (NDPTC) and provides valuable insight into tornado science, warning systems, and preparedness strategies tailored for our region.

The target audience for this FEMA certified course are emergency managers, first responders, government administrative, private sector safety/security, nongovernmental organizations, community volunteers, and the general public. Modules during the 8 am – 5 pm course include Science of Tornadoes, the Weather Warning Process, Tornado Forecast Process, and Tornado Warning Process.
