GULF SHORES – The Collinsville Panthers earned a 7-0 baseball win against Class 5A state runner-up Sardis on Thursday afternoon to finish play in the Gulf Coast Classic in Gulf Shores.
Gavin Lang allowed just four hits and had seven strikeouts for the Panthers. He was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double, two runs and a RBI. Will Edmondson went 2-for-2 with a walk and a run.
Cooper Coker tripled, walked, scored a run and had three RBIs. Jake Middlebrooks managed a double and a two RBIs. Zach Clanton contributed a hit and a run. Jeremiah Killian finished with a hit and a walk.
Collinsville hosts Sand Rock to begin an area series on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
