Mr. David Rogers Horton, age 87 of Cedar Bluff, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at his home.
A funeral service will be held 2:00PM Thursday, March 28th, 2024 with Pastor Shawn Turner officiating at Mt. Olive Baptist Church burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00PM till 7:00PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will include Darius Turner, Desmon Turner, Collin Clifton, Elijah Clifton, Clarence Richardson, and Patrick Wedgeworth.
He is survived by his wife; Dorothy Aker Horton, son; Jeffrey Aker, daughters; Jerelyn Turner, Regina Creamer, Beverly Aker; sister; Edith Jeanne Cooper, 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and a host of friends and other loved ones.
Mr. Horton is the son of the late Ira Dallas & Ida Bell Horton and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Mt. Olive Baptist Church (1920 Co Rd 55 Centre, AL 35960.
