GADSDEN – Mason McAteer had a perfect day at the plate against Gaston on Tuesday. He went 5-for-5 with a triple, five runs and two RBIs in a 12-1 area baseball victory.

Gavin Lang added a pair of hits, including a triple, with a run and a RBI. Tytan Morgan also contributed a pair of hits and a RBI.

Jake Middlebrooks and Cooper Coker both doubled and drove in two runs. Coker also walked twice and scored a run. Will Edmondson collected a hit, two walks, two runs and a RBI.

Jeremiah Killian had a walk and two RBIs. Zach Clanton walked and scored a run. Eli Griggs and Rajuess Rooks both scored a run.

Morgan picked up the win on the mound. He tossed five innings and didn’t allow an earned run on five hits with two walks and 12 strikeouts. Edmondson worked an inning with a walk and two strikeouts.

The two teams finish their series on Thursday at Collinsville beginning at 4:30 p.m.
