Man Found Dead on Railroad Tracks in Rome ID’d

The Floyd County Coroner stated, that a man was been found dead on the railroad tracks.  

Back on February 28th – the Floyd County Coroner’s Office responded to reports of a person being found on the railroad tracks – on the west side of Rome between Old Airport Road and Kirton Street.   They got to the scene and they found a man dead on the tracks.

According to the coroner the subject had injuries indicating he may have been hit by a moving train.   Floyd County Deputy Coroner John Hamilton was contacted by a concerned person who thought that the man could be related to him.   After using a photo of the individual, and then making a positive ID – the coroner’s office identified the man as Clinton Santos Vicente-Vicente – 26 years of age.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation crime lab is finalizing the manner of Vicente-Vicente’s death.
