Congressman Mike Rogers Addresses Constituents In Centre

Alabama’s Congressman from the 3rd District was in Centre Saturday morning to address the Cherokee County Republicans during their regular breakfast meeting.

Rogers discussed many issues of concern to most Americans including the open U.S.-Mexico border, the Russia-Ukraine War and why it matters, the situation with China over Taiwan, the US budgeting process and Space Command. Rogers also discussed the redistricting in the State of Alabama and how his district is more compact now after redistricting.

Rogers was well received by the over flow crowd gathered at the Easy Street Restaurant.

State Senator Andrew Jones announced the attendance for the meeting was the largest attendance at a Breakfast meeting with 90 attendees. Most local elected officials were in attendance. Several residents from Calhoun, Etowah, and DeKalb counties attended the event.

Congressman Rogers currently serves as Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee (https://republicans-armedservices.house.gov/) and previously served as the Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security in the 116th Congress (https://republicans-homeland.house.gov/) both vital to Alabama’s interests.
