At 12:15 this afternoon (Friday) Central dispatch notified Piedmont Rescue Squad and Spring Garden Fire of a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Cherokee County Road 8. When emergency crews arrived on the scene they found the vehicle with the driver deceased. The east bound vehicle left the roadway in the curve, went down an embankment and struck a tree. Cherokee County Coroner Paul McDonald was called to the scene and pronounced the driver deceased. The Alabama State Troopers Investigated the accident.
