The National Weather Service in Birmingham says a storm system will develop across the Central Plains Thursday and approach the area overnight Thursday through much of Friday. Conditions appear to be favorable for severe thunderstorms across all of Central Alabama on Friday with the greater potential across the southeast half of the area.
Changes from previous forecast: Adjusted severe weather risk area, added an enhanced risk area.
