The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and ALL Law Enforcement Agencies urge everyone to EXERCISE CAUTION and have a safe, and fun New Year’s HOLIDAY.
Everyone should DRIVE SAFELY and DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!
Additional law enforcement members are working around the clock – in an effort to make sure that everyone is safe as we head into the New Year
Keep these valuable Safety Tips in mind:
- Have non-alcoholic beverages available for all of your party guests not interested in alcohol.
- Find alternative transportation for intoxicated guests.
- Also arrange for an “Official Designated Driver” for your gathering who doesn’t drink at all.
- Be sure to have something to eat before you consume any alcoholic beverages.
- Eat high protein foods that’ll stay in your stomach longer, and slow the absorption of alcohol into your system.
- Remember only time will eliminate the alcohol from your body.
- Know your safe limit and NEVER drink and drive.
