Mr. Jackie Dewitt Watwood, age 64, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Atrium Health Floyd.

Mr. Watwood was born August 21, 1959, in Summerville, GA, son of Willie Eugene Watwood and Emma Jean Mitchell Watwood.  He was Church of Christ by faith, and prior to his retirement, had been employed with Heil Environmental.

Mr. Watwood was preceded in death by his brothers, John Watwood, Douglas Watwood, and Dennis Watwood.

Survivors include his sons, Jeremy Watwood, Nick Watwood, and Jason Watwood; parents, Willie Eugene and Emma Jean Watwood; a sister, April Givens; 4 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon (GA Time) Saturday, December 23, 2023, from the Mason Funeral Home Chapel with Min. Berlin Murphy and Min. Andrew Campbell officiating.  Interment will follow in Randall Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jeremy Watwood, Nick Watwood, Jason Watwood, and Rodney Givens.

Mr. Watwood will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. (GA Time) until the hour of service on Saturday.
