Wal-Mart has made a change to its morning shopping hours.
Starting November the 10th (on last Friday) the nation’s largest retailer is brought back sensory-friendly hours every day from 8:00 – 10:00am (local time) at all stores across the country, and the change does appear to be permanent, the company said in a statement “with no planned end date.”
Sensory-friendly shopping hours were first rolled out in July for “a limited time” to facilitate parents and students with back-to-school shopping.
Wal-Mart stated that the feedback from that pilot program was “overwhelmingly positive.” The executives noted “during these hours we hope our customers and associates – will find that the stores will be a little easier on the eyes and ears; these changes are thanks to those who shared their feedback, on just how the stores could help them feel like they belong,”
