Warriors maintain No. 2 ranking in latest ASWA football poll

After a 5-0 start to the season, the Cherokee County Warriors still come in at No. 2 behind defending state champion Andalusia (5-0) in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association high school football rankings. The latest poll was released early Wednesday morning.

Cherokee County, which received two first-place votes, travels to Munford (1-3) on Thursday.

One other area team continues to receive consideration for the poll: Class 1A Spring Garden (3-2). The Panthers host Cedar Bluff (2-3) on Friday.
