GADSDEN — The Cherokee County Lady Warriors went 4-0 to win the Dig in the City Tournament hosted by Gadsden City on Saturday.

In pool play, the Lady Warriors defeated Clay-Chalkville 25-18, 25-10 and Ohatchee 27-25, 25-21. Cherokee County then defeated Moody in the tournament semifinals 25-22, 25-19.

In the championship match, the Lady Warriors defeated Boaz 19-25, 25-20, 15-12.

For the tournament, Macy Lea compiled 88 assists, 18 digs, five kills, two aces and two blocks. Raegan Garmany collected 24 kills, two digs and a block. Lilly Shaw delivered nine kills, four blocks, six digs and two assists. Ava Haygood had 26 kills, eight digs and a block.

Libby Curry came away with nine kills, 13 digs and five aces. Ellisan Givens posted 40 digs, five aces and three assists. Nevaeh Gaidurgis finished with 32 kills, 27 digs, three blocks, five aces and two assists.

Cherokee County hosts Southside and Sand Rock on Monday.
