A 41-year-old Scottsboro man was critically injured – and later died – after a Friday afternoon single-vehicle crash occurring in Jackson County.
Alabama State Troopers identified the victim as Ever Noe Vella-Fuentes.
The wreck happened at approximately 3:15pm, on Alabama 79 near Dale Street, about 10 miles south of Scottsboro. Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey – announced in a News Release – that Vella-Fuentes was driving a 2004 Honda Civic when it left the roadway, hit a ditch before overturning – he was reportedly ejected from the vehicle. Vella-Fuentes was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation into the crash is on-going by State Troopers.
