DeKalb County Authorities Make Huge Bust with Trafficking Amounts of Drugs Seized

DeKalb County Narcotics Agents recently conducted a big traffic stop resulting in the seizure of a trafficking amount of – BOTH – Methamphetamine and Fentanyl. Agents conducted their traffic stop on Highway 75 in Ider, at Frankies Service station.  During the stop the driver fled on foot leaving the passenger inside the vehicle.

Agents identified that passenger as Scott William Haldane – age 49 of Ider – out on bond and with prior charges of Trafficking to include Fentanyl.  Once more agents arrived on the scene – a search for the driver was conducted but the subject wasn’t found. 

Haldane was charged with Trafficking any Illegal Drug (x2), the Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance, also the Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Resisting Arrest.

A search of the vehicle by law enforcement turned up 60 grams of methamphetamine, 6 grams of Crack Cocaine, and 7 grams of powdered Fentanyl – as well as drug paraphernalia.
