 Mr. Jack Davis Anthony, age 85 of Gadsden, 
passed away Wednesday August 2nd, 2023 
Funeral Services will be held 11AM Saturday, August 5th, 2023 At Perry 
Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Phil Blanton and Bro. Bill Rorie 
officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11AM 
Saturday at the funeral home. A private burial at Friendship Baptist 
Church Cemetery will be held after the service. The family requests 
casual attire. 
Pallbearers will include Scott Anthony, Tim Anthony, Robert Winkle, 
Ricky Frasier, Ross Gossett, and Carl Gossett. Honorary Pallbearer 
will be Bill Abbott. 
Survivors include his wife, Linda Bryant Anthony; Step sons, Robin 
Roberts and Rodney (Kathy) Roberts; grandchildren, Taylor (Autumn) 
Rich, and Collin Roberts; great grandchildren, Elijah Rich, Malachi 
Rich,  and Jeremiah Rich; nephews, Mickey Anthony, Burge (Gina) Lane, 
Rick Anthony, Scott (Carol) Anthony, and Tim (Lynne) Anthony; cousin, 
Susan Alexander; sister in law, Barbara Anthony; special niece, Cindy 
(Carl) Gossett; several nephews also remain. 
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sue Moon Anthony; brother, James 
Kyle Anthony; sister, Betty Lane. 
Jack was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Kyle 
Jones Anthony and Cornelia Davis Anthony. He retired as a meat 
inspector for the Alabama Department of Agriculture and was also a 
former chairman and member of the Cherokee County Health Authority. 
Mr. Anthony was also a current member of Meadowbrook Church of Gadsden 
and was a former member of Friendship Baptist Church. There he served 
as a deacon, music director, member of the cemetery committee, as well 
as other various positions of the church. 
The family would like to send a special thanks to Brian, Tommy, and 
Anita with Amedysis Home Health; Tyler and Josh with Amedysis Hospice; 
Ann Hill and various other friends.
