An 18 wheeler – reportedly hauling 39,000 pounds of Rice Krispy Treats – was stuck behind the Grub Mart in Centre on Thursday morning for a short period of time after the rear wheels of the trailer went off the roadway.

That happened shortly after 7:00am – as the big rig was attempting to leave the rear parking lot of the store and pull out onto Griffith Street.

The road was blocked until the vehicle could be removed.

Centre Law Enforcement, Fire Department personnel and others all responded to the scene.  Fortunately, no one was hurt in connection with the incident.
