A Single Vehicle accident at 8:10 am Saturday sent the operator of a Yamaha motorcycle to the hospital. The accident was caused by a deer running into the side of the motorcycle knocking the driver off the vehicle. He was transported by ambulance to Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden for treatment.
Alabama State Troopers report the accident occurred on Lay Springs Road in northern Etowah County.
