CEDAR BLUFF – Natalie Baty allowed just two hits with three walks and eight strikeouts. She was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a double in helping Class 1A, No. 4 Cedar Bluff earn a 5-0 softball win over visiting Fyffe on Monday.

Mattie Payne was also 2-for-3 with a double, a run and a RBI. Kylie Vadon doubled and scored a run. Rylie Walker contributed a hit, a walk, a run and a RBI. Reece Patterson posted a hit, a walk and a RBI. Haley Allen added a hit and a run. Harlie Nelson scored a run.

Cedar Bluff scored a pair of runs in the third, a pair of runs in the fourth and a run in the fifth for the final.

The Lady Tigers host Class 3A, No. 4 Piedmont on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
