Georgia Fire Department Responds to Two Calls in Two Days

(Trion Fire, Henderson Drive)

The Trion, Georgia Fire Department responded to a second house fire in just as many days on Monday afternoon.

The fire reportedly started on the porch of a home located on Henderson Drive in the Ridgeway Community and quickly spread to the inside of the mobile home.

The Trion firefighters responded around 1:00PM and were able to extinguish the fire before it spread further through the home.  Trion firefighters were able to rescue an adult cat, three baby kittens, and one guinea pig.  Sadly, one adult cat and two kittens were found deceased.

On Sunday morning Trion firefighters had responded to a house fire on Echols Drive.  In both instances, there were no working smoke alarms inside the home.  The Trion Fire Department posted “We can’t stress enough how important it is to have working smoke alarms!”.

Trion Fire Fighters received assistance from the Summerville, Hays Correctional and Teloga Fire Departments at the fire on Henderson Drive on Monday.
