GAYLESVILLE – Shonda Epps, Sierra Holbrook and Andreah Calvert went a combined 8-for-8 with six RBIs at the plate in leading the Gaylesville Lady Trojans to a 13-3 softball win over Woodville for senior night on Tuesday.
Epps went 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Holbrook was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs. Calvert, returning from sickness, went 3-for-3 with a RBI.
Gracelynn Drake delivered a pair of triples and two RBIs. Emma Givens also posted a pair of hits, including a triple, with three RBIs. Gracie Dawson doubled. Sydney Smith and Jayden Dobbins both had a hit and a RBI.
Mackenzie Kimmons earned the win in the circle. She tossed all five innings, allowing just two earned runs on five hits with no walks and eight strikeouts.
Gaylesville travels to Valley Head for an area game on Wednesday beginning at 3 p.m.
