GADSDEN – Zach Clanton tossed a complete game shutout with 18 strikeouts. He allowed just two hits in leading the Sand Rock Wildcats to a 4-0 area baseball win at Gaston on Tuesday.
Brian Giles went 2-for-4 at the plate with a RBI and scored a run. Peyton Williams and Cam Gifford both went 2-for-3 with a RBI and a run apiece for the Wildcats.
The two teams finish their series on Thursday at Sand Rock beginning at 4:30 p.m.
