FORT PAYNE – Class 3A, No. 6 Piedmont earned a 4-1 softball win at Fort Payne on Thursday.
Savannah Smith tossed a four-hitter on 89 pitches, giving up no earned runs on four hits with to walks and four strikeouts to earn the win for the Lady Bulldogs (10-5). She was also 2-for-3 at the plate with a run and a RBI.
Armoni Perry doubled, scored a run and drove in another. Sarah Goss and Cacey Brothers both had a hit and scored a run. Brothers also had a RBI.
