Parker Wilson provides walk-off hit for Warriors

CENTRE – Freshman designated hitter Parker Wilson delivered a walk-off hit to score the game-winning run in the Cherokee County Warriors’ 10-9 baseball victory over Moody on Tuesday in Centre.

It was Wilson’s lone hit of the game for the Warriors (7-6). He finished with three RBIs.

Carson Tittle went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs and two RBIs. Cooper Rodgers was also 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs and a RBI. Beck McKinney went 2-for-4 with a run and a RBI. Malachi Horton was also 2-for-4 with a run.

Connor Wilson walked twice and drove in a run. Luke Young was hit by a pitch twice and scored three runs.

Garrett McRay tossed four innings and surrendered two earned runs on six hits with no walks and three strikeouts for the Warriors. Connor Wilson pitched 2 1/3 innings and gave up three earned runs on five hits with two walks and two strikeouts. Caleb Edmondson tossed 2/3 of an inning with a strikeout.
