PIEDMONT – Savannah Smith tossed a three-hitter with a walk and 11 strikeouts in leading the Piedmont Lady Bulldogs to an 8-0 softball win over visiting Weaver on Monday.

Smith was also 3-for-3 at the plate with a triple, two runs and a RBI.

Jenna Calvert collected a pair of hits, including a double, with a run and two RBIs. Sarah Goss also had two hits with a run and two RBIs. Jaycee Glover added a hit, a run and a RBI. Armoni Perry posted a hit and scored a run. Cacey Brothers drove in a run and Cayla Brothers scored a run.

Piedmont scored six runs in the bottom of the third and added two more in the fifth for the final.
