GADSDEN – Zoey Handy scored 13 points and Jacey Stephens added 12 on four 3-pointers, but they weren’t enough for the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats in a 75-43 basketball loss at Gadsden City on Tuesday.
Handy also collected five rebounds, four assists and a block for the Lady Wildcats (12-10). Chloe Stephens delivered eight points, five rebounds and two assists. Katelyn StClair finished with six points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal.
Sand Rock opens the Cherokee County Tournament against Gaylesville on Thursday at the Gadsden State-Cherokee Arena.
