GAYLESVILLE – Rylee Tillery sank 10 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 31 points in leading the Collinsville Lady Panthers to a 66-43 victory over Valley Head in the Gaylesville Christmas Tournament on Friday.
Four of Tillery’s treys came in the first quarter. She had six by halftime.
For the game, Collinsville canned 16 3-pointers. Nayeli Mata managed 14 points, including four treys. Sophie Wills had two 3-pointers and finished with 11 points. Tyla Tatum had seven points.
Hanna McKenzie led Valley Head with 13 points, including three 3-pointers. Bella Lewis and Emma Harrison both had 11 points. Harrison had two treys.
Collinsville led 21-14 at the end of the first quarter, but Valley Head managed to cut its deficit to a point at halftime at 32-31. Collinsville held a 43-38 edge heading into the fourth quarter.
Collinsville 68, Valley Head 59
GAYLESVILLE – Keaton DeBoard delivered four 3-pointers and finished with 22 points in leading the Collinsville Panthers to a 68-59 victory over Valley Head to finish third in the Gaylesville Christmas Tournament on Friday.
Gavin Lang and Mason McAteer both netted 11 points. Dawson Cothran came away with 10 points
Colton Wills finished with seven points and 13 rebounds.
Hunter Robinson topped Valley Head with 26 points, including three 3-pointers. Ethan Webb added 16 points, including four treys.
The game was tight throughout. Collinsville held a 17-15 edge after a quarter. The two teams were tied at 36 at the break and at 50 after three quarters. The Panthers pulled away in the fourth by outscoring the Tigers 18-9 for the final.
