SPRING GARDEN – Jake Welsh scored a game-high 27 points and twin brother John Welsh scored 13 to lead the Spring Garden Panthers to a 64-22 area basketball win over visiting Gaylesville on Friday evening.
Jon Marq Rogers and Connor Bates both finished with seven points for the Panthers (4-2, 3-0).
Kyler Bradley led the Trojans with 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Kuper Bradley finished with six points on a pair of treys.
Spring Garden jumped out to a 22-3 edge at the end of the first quarter. The Panthers held a 36-13 advantage at halftime and a 53-18 lead after three quarters.
