Mr. Travis Jay Chambers, age 84 of Centre passed away Tuesday, November 22nd at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Monday, November 28th at Noah Baptist Church with Rev. Jay Chambers and Rev. Clinton Greene officiating, burial will follow at Noah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1PM until the time of service Monday at the church.
Pallbearers will include Jeremy Chambers, Joshua Chambers, John Allen Rayborn, Patrick Rayborn, Jameson Green, and Jonathan Green. Honorary pallbearers will include David Chambers, Paul Daniel, and Jay Chambers.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Louise Chambers; son, Jeffery Jay Chambers (Lynn); daughter, Sherry Chambers Rayborn; grandchildren, John Allen Rayborn, Patrick Rayborn, Anna Rayborn Moore, Jay Chambers, Jeremy Chambers, Joshua Chambers, Izabella Rayborn; special friends, Paul Daniel and Buddy Barkley.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Dallas Ray Chambers.
Mr. Chambers was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Jay Chambers and Bonnie Mae Popham Chambers and was a member of Noah Baptist Church.
The family will accept flowers or donations to The Gideons International.
