CEDAR BLUFF – Kade Browning churned out 221 all-purpose yards and scored three touchdowns, including a 75-yard kick return and a 47-yard pass reception from Bucky Leek, in Cedar Bluff’s 48-20 Class 1A, Region 7 football win over Woodville on Friday.
Leek ran and passed for two touchdowns. He accumulated 117 yards of total offense and had an interception on defense for the Tigers (2-1, 1-0).
The Panthers took an 8-7 lead on a long Sam Peek touchdown run and ensuing 2-point conversion, but Browning returned the ensuing kickoff for a score to give Cedar Bluff the lead right back.
The Tigers tacked on two more scores in the first quarter to take a commanding 27-8 advantage.
Peek accounted for three touchdown runs for Woodville (0-2, 0-1), which returns home to face Appalachian.
Cedar Bluff travels to Gaylesville on Friday.
